Owning SURE: Uses, Storage and Risks

SURE is connected to inSure DeFi’s crypto-portfolio insurance model, but holding the token alone does not guarantee coverage. Check the network, policy terms and risks before using it.

What does holding SURE actually do?

SURE is the token tied to inSure DeFi’s community-based crypto-asset insurance system. The project describes coverage for crypto portfolios against risks such as scams, exchange closures and sharp devaluations. Its model pools capital to spread insured risks; premium pricing uses a dynamic model that draws on Chainlink and demand for insurance. The project also describes an inSure DAO in which voters review claims and flag suspected fraud.

Owning SURE is not the same as having an active policy. The project describes users buying SURE as part of getting insurance, but a token balance alone does not establish what assets are covered, how long coverage lasts or whether a claim will be accepted. Check the current policy terms, eligible assets, exclusions, waiting periods, claim evidence and payout limits before relying on coverage. Don’t treat SURE as a substitute for checking exchange custody or securing your own wallet.

Which networks and wallets can hold SURE?

SURE is issued on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain and Avalanche. It is not listed as the native token of any of these networks, so you need to select the network on which your SURE is held when receiving or sending it. A wallet must support that network and the token standard used by the SURE contract.

Before transferring, confirm the network and token contract against inSure’s official project information. A familiar token name or ticker is not enough to identify the right asset: impostor tokens can use the same name. Don’t send SURE to an exchange deposit address unless the exchange confirms it accepts SURE on that specific network. A transfer on the wrong chain may be difficult or impossible to recover, and a token balance on one network won’t automatically appear in a wallet set to another.

How much SURE is in circulation?

As of 2026-11-08, SURE’s circulating supply was about 26.48 billion tokens. Its total and maximum supply were both 88 billion. The gap between circulating and total supply is roughly 61.52 billion tokens, but those figures alone don’t tell you how any non-circulating tokens are allocated, locked or released.

A maximum supply is not a statement about what SURE is worth, and circulating supply can change. If you are assessing future token availability, check inSure’s current token documentation for any vesting, treasury or release details before making assumptions. Market-value measures such as fully diluted valuation also depend on a changing token price; they are not guaranteed values for the full supply.

How can you store SURE more safely?

For self-custody, use a wallet that supports the network where your SURE is held. Keep your recovery phrase offline and private: anyone who gets it may be able to take the tokens. Never share it with someone claiming to help with a claim, wallet connection or account verification. A hardware wallet can keep keys off an internet-connected device, but it does not protect you from approving a malicious transaction.

Before connecting a wallet to an insurance or token site, check the domain and what the wallet asks you to sign. Read transaction details rather than approving unfamiliar permissions, and be cautious of unsolicited messages about payouts. Keep a small test transfer for a new address or network if practical. Remember that losing your recovery phrase can mean losing access permanently; a wallet provider generally cannot reset it for you.

What could go wrong with SURE or its coverage?

SURE carries both token-market risk and insurance-system risk. Its price was about $0.000206 on 2026-11-08, and it was down about 75% over the preceding year. Reported 24-hour trading volume was about $2 on that date, a sign that selling quickly at a quoted price may be difficult. These figures can change sharply and don’t predict future performance.

Coverage also depends on more than holding the token: the terms, claim review and available pool capital matter. The project describes a dynamic pricing model, Chainlink data and DAO voting, but those mechanisms do not guarantee that a claim will be paid. Smart-contract faults, inaccurate data, disputed votes, insufficient capital or unclear policy terms can affect outcomes. Before paying for coverage, understand its limits and exclusions, and only commit funds you can afford to lose.

By the numbers

inSure DeFi in numbers

inSure DeFi (SURE) is ranked #1,604 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $5.45M and a price of $0.0002060 as of Nov 8, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $18.1M, so roughly 30% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 2.2% over 7 days, down 13.8% over 30 days, down 75.4% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $0.1140, set on Jan 6, 2021.

About 26.48B SURE are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 88B (30% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $2, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

SURE has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SURE FAQs

Does holding SURE automatically insure my crypto?

No. A SURE balance by itself does not establish an active policy or guarantee a claim payout. Check inSure’s current coverage terms and complete any required steps before relying on protection.

Which chains support SURE?

SURE is issued on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain and Avalanche. Choose a wallet that supports the network you use, and verify the token contract before sending funds.

What is the maximum supply of SURE?

As of 2026-11-08, about 26.48 billion SURE were circulating, out of a total and maximum supply of 88 billion. Supply figures do not show when or how non-circulating tokens may enter circulation.

Does SURE guarantee that an insurance claim will be paid?

No. inSure describes SURE as part of its insurance ecosystem, but the token itself is not a guarantee of coverage or reimbursement. Policy eligibility, exclusions, claim review and available capital can all matter.

Is SURE easy to sell?

Trading volume was about $2 over 24 hours as of 2026-11-08, which indicates very limited reported activity at that time. Low volume can make it harder to trade without affecting the price; volumes can change.
